Listing Policy & Seller Guidelines
Effective Date: May 1, 2026
1. Purpose and Scope
This Listing Policy & Seller Guidelines (“Listing Policy”) governs all listings created, published, or managed by users (“Sellers”) on the List A Sale platform (the “Service”).
By creating or maintaining any listing on the Service, Sellers agree to comply with this Listing Policy, the Terms of Service, and all applicable laws and regulations. Failure to comply may result in removal of listings, restriction of account functionality, suspension, or permanent termination of access to the Service.
2. Seller Responsibility and Accountability
Sellers are solely responsible for all listings and transactions conducted through the Service. This includes, without limitation, responsibility for the accuracy, legality, completeness, and truthfulness of all listing content, as well as fulfillment, communication, and compliance with applicable laws.
Sellers acknowledge that they are acting as independent parties and not as agents, representatives, or employees of List A Sale.
List A Sale reserves the right to request additional information, documentation, or verification of a Seller’s identity, business status, or authority to sell listed items. Failure to comply may result in listing removal or account action.
Seller accounts may not be transferred, sold, or shared without prior written consent from List A Sale.
3. Listing Accuracy and Representation
All listings must accurately describe the item or sale being offered. Sellers must ensure that all information provided is truthful, complete, and not misleading. Each listing must clearly correspond to a single item or clearly defined group of items. Listings that bundle unrelated items or create ambiguity may be removed.
Sellers must clearly disclose:
- the nature of the item or sale;
- any known defects, damage, or material conditions;
- whether items are sold as-is;
- any limitations, restrictions, or special conditions affecting the transaction.
Listings must not omit material information that could affect a buyer’s purchasing decision.
All listings must correspond to real, currently available items in the Seller’s possession or control. Listings for hypothetical items, sample images, or items not actually available for sale are strictly prohibited.
List A Sale reserves the right to request additional information, documentation, or proof of ownership or possession of any listed item at any time. Failure to provide such information may result in removal of the listing or account action.
4. Pricing and Availability
Sellers are solely responsible for setting and maintaining accurate pricing. All prices must be clearly stated and must reflect the actual price at which the seller intends to sell the item.
Sellers must ensure that listed items are available at the time of listing and must promptly update or remove listings for items that are no longer available.
In the event of a pricing error or listing mistake, the Seller retains the right to decline to proceed with a sale in accordance with the Terms of Service.
Sellers may not create duplicate, excessive, or spam listings intended to manipulate visibility or search placement.
Sellers may not engage in any behavior intended to manipulate search results, rankings, or platform visibility, including keyword stuffing, misleading titles, or artificial engagement.
5. Images and Content Standards
All images and content included in listings must accurately represent the item or sale being offered.
Sellers may not:
- use stock images that do not reflect the actual item;
- use misleading angles, filters, or edits that materially alter the appearance of the item;
- upload images or content that infringe upon third-party intellectual property rights.
Images must be clear enough to allow buyers to reasonably evaluate the item.
Sellers may use image enhancement tools, including AI-assisted editing, solely for the purpose of improving clarity, lighting, or background presentation, provided that such modifications do not alter or misrepresent the actual condition, appearance, or characteristics of the item being sold.
Sellers are strictly prohibited from using AI-generated images or manipulated content to depict items that do not exist, differ materially from the actual item, or otherwise mislead buyers as to the nature, condition, or authenticity of the item. Any such use may be treated as material misrepresentation.
6. Item Condition and “As-Is” Sales
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, all items listed on the Service are considered “as-is,” “where-is,” with no warranties or guarantees.
Sellers are strongly encouraged to provide clear and detailed descriptions of item condition, including any defects or imperfections.
Failure to disclose known defects may be treated as misrepresentation.
7. Pickup Terms and Instructions
All listed items are pickup-only. Sellers must clearly communicate to the buyer:
- pickup availability;
- any required scheduling;
- any time restrictions or deadlines.
Pickup instructions must never be published or made public as part of a listing. Sellers are responsible for providing accurate pickup instructions directly and privately to the buyer once a sale has been agreed upon, and for making items reasonably available for pickup.
Failure to make items available for pickup as described may result in enforcement action.
8. Communication with Buyers
Sellers are expected to communicate with buyers in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
Sellers must not:
- provide false or misleading information;
- ignore reasonable buyer inquiries related to a transaction;
- engage in abusive, harassing, or inappropriate communication.
Failure to communicate in good faith may result in account action.
9. Cancellations and Transaction Integrity
Sellers must not decline to complete an agreed sale arbitrarily or in bad faith.
Declining to complete an agreed sale is permitted only in legitimate circumstances, including:
- pricing errors;
- item unavailability;
- material listing inaccuracies;
- the buyer’s failure to complete pickup or payment as arranged.
Repeated or abusive cancellations may result in enforcement action.
10. Compliance with Laws
Sellers are solely responsible for ensuring that all listings and transactions comply with applicable local, state, federal, and international laws.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- tax obligations;
- licensing requirements;
- consumer protection laws;
- restricted or regulated items.
Sellers must not list or sell stolen property, counterfeit goods, or any items for which they do not have legal ownership or authorization to sell.
11. Prohibited Listings
Sellers may not list any items that are prohibited or restricted under the Prohibited & Restricted Items Policy.
Listings that violate this policy may be removed without notice.
Sellers who repeatedly attempt to list prohibited or restricted items, or who engage in patterns of non-compliant listing behavior, may be subject to escalating enforcement actions, including suspension or permanent termination of their account.
12. Off-Platform Transactions
Payment for an item and coordination of pickup are arranged and completed directly between the buyer and the seller. Sellers may use the Service’s messaging features to arrange the details of a sale with a buyer directly, including confirming price, arranging payment, and coordinating pickup logistics.
List A Sale does not process, facilitate, guarantee, or have any involvement in the payment or exchange of any item. Sellers are solely responsible for arranging and collecting payment directly from the buyer, and for confirming the terms of a sale before making an item available for pickup.
Sellers remain responsible for ensuring that listings, descriptions, and communications comply with the Prohibited & Restricted Items Policy, applicable law, and the other provisions of this Listing Policy.
13. Platform Enforcement and Rights
List A Sale reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to review, remove, modify, or restrict any listing or account that violates this Listing Policy, the Terms of Service, or that is otherwise deemed harmful to the platform or its users.
List A Sale may take enforcement action against Sellers, including but not limited to:
- removal of listings;
- restriction of listing privileges;
- suspension or termination of accounts;
- limitation or permanent revocation of access to the Service.
Repeated violations or patterns of behavior inconsistent with platform standards may result in permanent removal. Listings may be removed with or without prior notice.
14. No Guarantee of Performance or Sales
List A Sale does not guarantee that any listing will result in a sale, that any item will receive interest, or that any user will complete a transaction.
Sellers acknowledge that they rely on the Service, its features, and any platform-provided visibility, recommendations, or exposure at their own risk.
15. Changes to Listing Policy
List A Sale reserves the right to modify this Listing Policy at any time. Updates will be effective upon posting. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.
